Hmm, while we're talking about junkies.... Did you know that the origin of calling someone a 'Junkie' didn't have anything to do with the fact a person used heroin. Yeah, how 'bout that! In the 1920's + 1930's the groups of people combing the city for scrap, bottles, anything that could be sold for some money.... those hard working souls were called 'Junkies' because they were collecting "junk" on the streets.  ...just sayin'
