By this show Page appeared newly clean shaven, having shaved off the beard he had grown since the summer of 1970. Plant laid down some ground rules from the start: "Now listen! We've already come across the one problem we were told about. Now, we don't want to make any mistakes about this thing and neither do you, right? So don't come past this barrier, otherwise there's gonna be some shit. And why don't you sit down and if it rains, we're gonna have to stop. That's a fact, it'll blow up! Take a seat!"

The highlight of the show occurred during the 'Whole Lotta Love' medley. After 'Hello Mary Lou', Plant lost his way for a moment so Page filled the gap with an instrumental version of 'The Rover'. This was a work in progress composition intended for their fifth album but subsequently held over to surface on the 'Physical Graffiti' double album. It was the only known full version of the song performed live. -Original
