16. Boys Keep Swinging (Saturday Night Live, 15-12-1979)
17. Ashes To Ashes (Johnny Carson Show, 05-09-1980)
18. TVC15 (Saturday Night Live, 15-12-1979)

One of the best compilation discs ever! The most interesting song on this CD is LOVER TO THE DAWN, which is a blue-print for CYGNET COMMITTEE! It is recorded off an acetate disc so it crackles a lot, and the sound quality is so-so. It sounds like it could have been a part of the Beckenham Art's Lab 1968 tape Most of the other songs are previously available, but here they are in superior sound quality. The other odd songs are AMSTERDAM, which is the same version as on the LP USED UP AND EMPTY (1983), but recorded at the correct speed. STARMAN is mostly instrumental, only the chorus has lyrics. THE JEAN GENIE is the official version but in a very strange mix. Who CAN I BE NOW has a few extra seconds in the intro compared to other bootleg releases. The four last songs are from Saturday Night Live 15.12.79, except for ASHES TO ASHES which comes from Tonight TV Show 05.09.80. The only mistake on the cover is that TVC 15 is called SPACE ODDITY. A TRUE MUST! -Original

Literally the best Genesis bootleg ever. Not only has a full Abacab soundboard show been the hottest dream of quite a number of Genesis fans - including this one - for years, but Tom has made this one sound absolutely terrific. In terms of sound, the only thing there is to complain about is a slight distortion of the bass in the back channels in some of the louder parts, but really, you have to be obsessive to find that an issue. Apart from that, sound is razor sharp and crystal clear without being over represented in any of the channels. The performance is superb and, apart from a few embarrassing song introductions in German (or should I say, an attempt at German) you’ll be hard pressed to find a recording where Phil sounds better than this one. Essential. -kaspergm (

One of the most important historical documents.

Perhaps one of the most important historical documents in the career of David Bowie. In 1969, Bowie and fellow Feathers colleague, John Hutch Hutchinson, recorded at least ten tracks, on a tape recorder, to send to various record labels. This demo tape eventually landed Bowie a deal with Mercury and launched his career.  As one can imagine, a recording made 35 years ago is not of pristine quality, but this version offers a better listening experience than many of the other discs floating around with this material. -Original

These are the (primarily) piano demos that Gabriel recorded shortly after he departed Genesis, and before he made his initial return to the studio, with Phil Collins, Anthony Phillips and Mike Rutherford as a comfortable (but ultimately unsatisfying) safety net. And, it must be said, those are probably the demos most listeners would like to hear.

These raw home recordings, however, are equally rewarding, as we hear Gabriel getting to grips not only with a couple of songs that would eventually make it onto his solo debut album ('Excuse Me', sans barbershop harmonies, and 'Here Comes The Flood'), but a clutch more that have remained in the vault ever since.-Dave Thompson.

What a great band Skynyrd were in the ’70s. They weren’t “evolving”, they weren’t changing with the trends or the styles of the day, they were staying honest and true to the southern rock that pulsed through their veins, staying loyal to their fans who were both feeding off of and giving back that loyalty. Southern rock never had a finer spokesman than the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band. -Nocaster
