Bob Dylan - In Concert (Unreleased 1963 CBS LP)

Holy crap! Look how young he looks.
Nowadays he looks to be 10 days older than God!  ...Yup!

Well known in trading circles, In Concert is one of the better live Dylan bootlegs in circulation. Reason being, these are the actual CBS recordings (reportedly ripped from an acetate) culled from two 1963 New York shows (April 12th at Town Hall & October 26th at Carnegie Hall) and intended for release by Columbia after Dylan’s Freewheelin’ album. The recording quality is excellent, though the clicks and pops get annoying on "When The Ship Comes In" (and there's an abrupt end to the LP, as well).
Only one track, “Who Killed Davy Moore,” has surfaced on an official release - though CBS did release a promo only CD in 1995 with some of the Carnegie tracks to promote the Martin Scorsese flick, No Direction Home. In Concert wound up sitting in the can, in part, because of the national
turmoil following the Kennedy assassination and, reportedly, because Columbia didn't want to open the LP with the 8 minute, spoken-word poem, “Last Thoughts On Woody Guthrie.” Their loss, your gain. -Original
