Kiss [1982.01.15] Live On Fridays

'Live On Fridays'
ABC Studios, Hollywood, California, USA
Friday January 15th, 1982

Gene Simmons - Paul Stanley - Ace Frehley - Eric Carr

Soundboard Recording
Encoded: 256 Kbps MP3

Track List:
1. A World Without Heroes
2. The Oath
3. I

The only contemporary live performance of "Elder" material, for ABC-TV's "Fridays" television show. Hosted by Tab Hunter. The band rehearsed each song three times prior to the performance, with "I" containing the "balls to stand alone" lyric, which was changed to "guts" for the actual broadcast. As an interesting side note, in the audience of that performance was one Blackie Lawless, of WASP, a childhood friend of Ace who was readying his own musical assault. Less than two weeks later KISS made a satellite appearance to the San Remo Music Festival in Italy from Studio 54 in New York. The band, performing "I" appeared as a trio as Ace had gone AWOL, and couldn't be bothered to show up, though at the time Paul used the standard excuse that Ace was sick.-Original
