- While the show scheduled for this date was cancelled, the band performed the show's closing number/sequence (just "Black Diamond") for the press. "A concert scheduled for Thursday was cancelled earlier in the week; the official word for the cancellation was that drummer Peter Criss needed an extra day to heal a cut hand. Observers speculate the concert was canceled because only 8,000 tickets had been sold for the two shows in the 10,000 capacity arena. Center officials said Wednesday there were approximately 1,000 tickets left for Friday" (Lakeland Ledger, 6/15/79).
- A recording from the "Dynasty" tour rehearsals is often attributed to this date, but was more likely made during earlier rehearsals for the tour due to the nature of Paul's raps; They're obviously not being directed towards any "audience."
- It's rather ominous, considering what would later occur, to hear Paul telling Peter to pick up the beat and hear him obviously having issues.
- Production costs for the tour were a staggering $2.2 million in a music industry that was suffering a major touring and sales slump.
- Staging, lighting, sound, rigging, and transport were handled by Philadelphia based McManus Enterprises.
